· Topic — Ornamental Milling Machine  It is a table-mounted machine used with a router to carve designs in spindles, posts, table legs,  and  moldings as well as flat surfaces.  The  Mill can carve flutes, spirals, and reeds in all types of spindles, and can mill in three directions to produce a variety of joinery.

Club meetings are normally scheduled on the fourth Saturday of each month. Exceptions to this will most commonly occur during the months of October, November and December due to holidays and other events.   Occasionally a meeting can be held at a location other than Kingspor’s Woodworking Shop.  Please check the list of scheduled meetings below for the exact date, time, and location.

· Topic — Intarsia Basics with Hands-On— An explanation of the tools needed to cut shape and mount intarsia projects, types of wood and techniques used to produce best results, and a hand on portion to allow members to try their hand at making a whale intarsia or just try out a scroll saw.

· Presenters:  Frank Cushman—WPW member and webmaster.  Frank started making intarsia projects seven years ago after attend the Robert’s Studio Intarsia school in Tennessee.   He has attended the Beginner and Intermediate level classes at the Robert;s school.

Klingspor Tool Show at the

Hickory Metro Convention Center

We will have a booth at the show to show our work and recruit new members .

Members are encouraged to display their work and

spend some time staffing the booth or at least come by to see us.
