Donny is a charter member of the Woodcrafters, has served as newsletter editor since the beginning of the club.  Woodworking for over 35 years, he pursues his hobby out of a 24’ by 32’ workshop crammed full of lumber & machinery.

Recent projects are furniture related, a changing table and armoire for his first grand child expected in March 2005.  Most of his recent projects have been geared toward family projects, although he likes to make almost anything out of wood.

A veteran of the US Navy, Donny served from 1966 to 1970.  Since that time he has worked in the family upholster furniture business in Hickory, NC from 1972 – 1985.  Then in 1985 Donny founded the upholstery manufacturing company Huntington House, Inc., where he still works as CEO.
